Lime Lights

Good Evening!! How are ya'll?
Bout time for a nail polish post, huh?
This is one I picked up just recently. It's Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear~ Lime Lights. *excuse the application, it got messed up a bit*
The color is just gorgeous! It's a light, sheer lime color. It took almost four coats, but that's because I wanted to achieve the color in the bottle. You can leave it at just one coat and it looks just as cool. In different lighting, you get different flashes of color. It's really pretty. Drying time, however, took forever. I don't know why... but it seemed like it never wanted to dry. Which, is how I got so many spots messed up. Anyway... I added a top coat to make sure it would shine. :) It was very pretty and fun to wear. :)

I just ordered for the first time on CherryCulture.com. I'm so excited to get my new polishes!! Will try to get pics of them as soon as they come in.

Enjoy!!
Talk to ya'll later.

Keith Urban

Hey ya'll. I think I'm going to start posting about my favorite Country music singers at least once a week.
I know I did one last Thursday. This one is coming a little early.
This is also good, because it decided to rain, yet again.
But, I do have a couple new polishes to post about.
Anyway... this is KEITH URBAN!!! He is the HOTTEST country music singer, in my opinion. I am absolutely in love with him!!! Weird??? lol
He has a lot of albums out there, but his most recent is "Defying Gravity."
Here are some songs to check out (there's a lot listed!!):
1) You're My Better Half
2) You'll Think Of Me
3) You Look Good In My Shirt
4) Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me
5) Where The Blacktop Ends
6) Tu Compania
7) Sweet Thing
8) Stupid Boy
9) Somebody Like You
10) Raise The Barn
11) Once In A Lifetime
12) Kiss A Girl
13) Jeans On
14) I'm In
15) I Told You So
16) I Could Fly
17) Faster Car
18) Everybody
19) Days Go By
20) Better Life

Yeah, that is a lot. lol
What makes Keith Urban so interesting, is that he was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia. He moved to Nashville, TN to pursue his country music career. :) He is a very good musician, in my opinion. Can ya'll tell that I REALLY like him?? haha

Enjoy.
Talk to ya'll later.

Positive Energy

Good Evening! Finally a nail polish post! Gosh... I've missed it. As you can kind of tell, it was overcast when I took these pictures. So, they aren't the best quality. It cleared up nicely, too. I'm sure ya'll are tired of me talking about Jacksonville's weather.

This is Nicole by OPI's~ Positive Energy. Color-wise this is a really shiny, metallic silver. It's kind of streaky, but eventually those streaks even out. I used two coats in the pictures above. I added a top coat for extra shiny-ness.

This is the only bottle of Nicole by OPI that I own, and I am impressed. I like the formula. It went on very nicely and it was easy to control. I like the bottle, too. Although, I can tell they will be hard to store because they are an awkward shape. The color is very pretty in my opinion. I think it looks good on shorter nails. And, it would probably look good with all skin tones. I did, however, think that it took a while for it to dry. Eventually it did dry. haha

Hope ya'll are all doing good. What do ya'll think?

Oh, by the way... WELCOME to all my new followers!!

Talk to ya'll later.

New Page Element

Hey ya'll.
I was messing around with all the page elements you can add to your blog... and I thought it would be fun to add a music thing. So, I added one that is at the bottom of the page. I wanted it to be all country music, but it looks like you can type whatever you want to watch/listen to in the search bar and it comes up. I don't know how long this will stay on there. I don't think I'm liking it too much.

Just a small update on the weather... it's STILL raining.
This is starting to get on my nerves. I miss the sun :(

Talk to ya'll later. Have a good Saturday and a good three day weekend. :)

*I DECIDED TO REMOVE IT. There was really no point to it.*

Jason Aldean

Hey ya'll. I still don't have any nail polish pics, the rain hasn't stopped since Sunday night! It's crazy.
Anyway, if ya'll didn't know, I'm a HUGE fan of country music. I was born in Arkansas and raised in Tennessee, so I'm a country girl (and I'm very proud of it) :)
Thought I would share one of my absolute FAVORITE country music stars.
This is Jason Aldean. I think he is so cute :) Don't ya'll?? He has a lot of very good songs out there and he has a new album out right now called "Wide Open." Check it out!!
Songs to check out:
1: Relentless
2: She's Country
3: Big Green Tractor
4: Laughed Until We Cried
5: Amarillo Sky
6: Hicktown
7: Johnny Cash

Enjoy and have a good evening!! :)

I'm Alive

Hey ya'll.
Sorry for the lack of posts. I'm hooked on the TV show LOST. Have ya'll seen it?
It's probably one of the best shows that has been on in a while. It's very good. I rented the discs, and I am CONSTANTLY going back to Blockbuster to get more. I've found that I can watch it for almost 6 hours straight. It's addictive.

Anyway, I'm waiting for the rain to stop and the sun to come out. I don't know when that will be, so it might be a little while before I get back to posting.

Have a great day!!

Looking Glass

This is the last one :( But, it's a purty one!! haha. This is Looking Glass by Del Sol. In the shade it's a shiny-metallic-green and in the sun it is a purple-y pink. Very pretty both indoors and outdoors. I used two coats here, as well. Enjoy!! :)

Reckless

Here is Reckless from Del Sol. I love the color in the shade and in the sun!! Isn't it pretty?? It's just a simple pearl-white in the shade and then a rosy-metallic-pink in the sun. I did two coats. Probably should have done three... and it applied great. Very pretty! There is one more coming up! Enjoy! :)

Peek-A-Boo

*excuse my nails, I wanted to do these quickly* Good Morning!! Look what I have!!! Color changing polishes!!! I got some of these from my boyfriend's mom. The brand is Del Sol and this one is called Peek-a Boo. I am not quite sure where you can find these, but I'm sure you can Google it or something. This one is a clear-yellow in the bottle and goes on your nail the same way, just with a little bit of shimmer. It's barely noticeable. THEN... when you walk out into the sun it changes to that rosy red-pink you see above. Isn't amazing??!! This particular color would be great if you don't really want any color on your nails... until you walk outside. haha. I really love these polishes! There are more coming! Stay tuned! Have a great Saturday!! :)

Taxi Yellow Creme

Good Evening. Here we have N.Y.C. - Taxi Yellow Crème. Now, I don't know if ya'll would call this a crème, but that's what the name says. I can see that it has a little bit of a shimmer to it, but you have to look close. Anyway, it took FOUR coats. It was SO streaky. This is the only other yellow I own, at the moment. I hope to get some more soon. The application was pretty good. The polish wasn't too thin or too thick, it was just right! :) Enjoy! Have a great evening and a Happy Friday!! :)

Mango- Get-Em

Good Evening. Here we have L'Oreal Paris- Mango- Get- Em. This is much brighter in person, just  so ya'll know. It's more on the coral... maybe even red... side of pink. Very pretty, though. Application was alright, I never seemed to get enough polish on the brush. It was weird. I got enough until I got down to the tip of my nails. Then it wouldn't spread any more. But, I fixed it! I used, I believe, three coats in these pictures. But, I have used two before and I thought it looked fine.
Enjoy!

I Pink I'm In Love

This is L'Oreal Paris- I Pink I'm In Love. It's a very lovely sheer, with a flash of blue and sometimes it can look purple. I think it's a very "safe" shade, but I LOVE it. It's really cute and girly... and flattering! I tried to get a close up... maybe ya'll can see the flash of blue. I used three coats in the pictures above. Application and coverage was good. Enjoy!

Chicklette

Here is L'Oreal Paris- Chicklette. I think this is a lovely color, but quite close to Essie- Need A Vacation. I had the same problems with streaky-ness and un-even coverage. I did three coats, and with that it takes a while to dry. I was really on a kick about this time last year with light pinks. I think I picked up colors that were very similar to each other. I think these colors are really best to go on a french manicure. Because, then you don't have to go all out and use three or so coats. You can get by with one or two. I think I'm going to try to find more "unique" light pinks so that I don't keep picking up some of the same shades.
Enjoy.

Need A Vacation

Good Evening. Here we have Essie- Need A Vacation. This is a very nice light pink that can make you look very tan if you have pale skin like me. :) This was the color I picked when I got my very first manicure done professionally. My hands and nails glowed for almost a week and I was in love with the color. I was lucky enough to find the polish at a beauty supply store. However, this polish just isn't the best. I LOVE the color, but the application is horrible. It's thick and never evens itself out. I used three coats in these pictures, but it still looks streaky. I think I loved it so much because it was my very first manicure. It's still a nice color... just not so great application-wise. But, coming up I have some more light pinks and they have the same problem with streaky-ness and un-even application. Maybe that color just doesn't apply well all together?

Seche Vite

I have a question regarding Seche Vite... Is it supposed to be really gooey going on? I was so confused when I opened it up. I thought it had gotten really old or something. Just need to know what it's like. haha. Let me know.
Have a good evening/day ya'll!

Gorgeous

Here is Sinful Colors- Gorgeous. I must say, it IS gorgeous. It's a metallic sea blue. AMAZING. The application seemed to be flawless. It took about three coats, because the first few are a bit streaky. I originally bought this color because it looked AWESOME through the bottle. I also bought one for a friend. I thought it was THAT amazing. I wasn't proved wrong when I applied it, either. It is definitely one of the best blues in my collection. What do ya'll think?

Go Go Green

Good Evening. Today I have Maybelline New York Express Finish- Go Go Green. This is a really pretty shimmery green. I think it complemented my skin tone quite well, but I could be wrong about that. I had no problems with the application, and it dried fairly quickly. It took two coats in these pictures, but you could almost use three.
Enjoy.

Lincoln Park After Dark

This is OPI- Lincoln Park After Dark. I got a lot of comments that said the polish didn’t even out and what not with a lot of coats, and that the color was not impressing. I some-what agree. This color is basically the same as OPI- Siberian Nights. However, I did compare them. LPAD seemed to have more of a red-tone to it, where as SN is just pure dark purple. The application was a little difficult, because the polish seemed runny. I used two coats in the pictures above, and I'm sure it could use at least three. I do like this color, but it's probably not the best choice for Spring or Summer.
Enjoy. :)

Watermelon

*Excuse my strange looking hands in these pictures.*
This is Essie- Watermelon. I LOVE this color. It is such a pretty, hot pink. Very girly. Here’s the BEST news. Only one coat!!!! I felt that one coat showed the true color of "Watermelon." What do ya'll think? Does it need another? I thought it looked great with just one. Coverage and application was really great and it dried really quickly. Enjoy.

Cloud 9

Good Evening. Here we have Sinful Colors- Cloud 9. I must say, this color was really awesome when I bought it... now it seems kind of dull. It's got a pretty sparkle to it, but the orange is nothing spectacular. However, this seems like a girly, Halloween orange. What do ya'll think? I used two coats here, but I've used four before... just to get the orange to be a little bit more bold. It covered the nail okay, and dried quite nicely. Enjoy.

Blogger Shout Out!

Hey ya'll. I don't have any nail pictures this time. However, I'd like to give a shout-out to Mary over at "Body and Soul" http://bodyandsoul-mary.blogspot.com/
Mary has a really great blog dedicated to lots of beauty products. I stop by her blog EVERY DAY! It is one of my very favorites!

Thank you so much, Mary!!!!!!

Hope ya'll will stop by her blog sometime.
Have a great evening! :)

Violet Rage

Here is Brucci- Violet Rage! I finally have a second bottle of Brucci! You can find these at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. (sounds weird, huh?) I was so proud to get this lovely color! It's a pastel purple, but it's metallic, too. I had no issues with the application. It was pretty good. It took about two coats to get the finish you see in the pictures above. Don't ya'll LOVE that it only takes TWO coats??!! I do! It makes the application so much easier and quicker!
Hope ya'll enjoy!!

Blazed

Good Morning! Today I have Wet n' Wild- Blazed. I really like this color, it's kind of a coral/orange/pink. BUT... the application is horrible. It doesn't seem to cover the nail well at all. It really bothers me, because the color is really pretty... but if the application is bad, you don't want to wear it a lot. Luckily, this is one of those $0.99 bottles, so I didn't waste all of my money.  It takes 2-3 coats.
