Mellow Yellow

Good Evening. Today I have Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear- Mellow Yellow. And indeed, it IS mellow. I am IN LOVE with this color. It has the lightest kiss of yellow. It has an amazing white-yellow frost. It is just so pretty! I almost didn't pick this one up, but I'm very glad that I did. It took three coats, but I thought it even looked good at one! It was the perfect light, frosty yellow. But, I wanted the color in the bottle, so I went for three. The application was great, but just a tad bit runny.
Enjoy! :)

Violet Vision

Good Evening. I just got a few minutes to take a few pictures of my nails. This is Cover Girl- Violet Vision. I am really loving this color. It's a darker violet, that can look blue indoors... but, of course, I didn't take a picture inside. But anyway, it's quite flattering. I guess it looks frosted, but I don't really know if that's how you'd describe it. Ya'll will just have to try it out and see what you think!! haha. The application was pretty good, it took two coats to achieve the color you see in the pictures above.
Enjoy and have a good evening.

Nashville, TENNESSEE!!!!!

Hey ya'll!!! I was in Nashville, TN this weekend, and thought I would post to let ya'll know where I was.
I, sadly, forgot my camera and wasn't able to take pictures of all the places I visited. I have basically lived in Tennessee all my life (but was born in ARKANSAS!!) and I lived in Nashville for one year. Now I'm in Florida. So, it was good to get back and check out all the places I didn't get to visit when I lived there. I am a HUGE fan of country music, so I got to visit the Ryman Auditorium!! That was so amazing, and I just wish I could have remembered my camera. Don't worry, I'll be going back soon!! I picked up a really cute nailfile that says "Grand Ole Opry" and that awful head band (I promise I didn’t buy it, they gave it to me for free haha.) And, of course, my trip would not have been complete had I not gotten a shirt that said "NASHVILLE." I  had a really great time, and I can't wait to get back. Have any of ya'll ever been to Nashville? Or anywhere in Tennessee? I lived in Memphis for most of my life, and I love it there, too! :D

Hollywood Scarlet

Good Afternoon!! How are ya'll??? What have ya'll been up to?? I spent the greater part of the morning reading all the blogs I follow to see what I missed. Looks like I'm all caught up now!! Here we have Sally Hansen Salon- Hollywood Scarlet. This is a GORGEOUS red! Absolutely GORGEOUS! I put this on Wednesday night, and wore it throughout my trip... I took the pictures above today, and there is still no chipping! There is a tiny bit of tip wear, but that is normal! Now, I did apply a topcoat... and that might have something to do with it, but I still never imagined a darker color like this one would last as long as it has. I had NO issues with the application... it was FABULOUS! It only took two coats.
Enjoy!!

New Polishes!

These are all the new polishes I've picked up. If they don't appear in order, I think ya'll can probably tell what goes with what.  I found most of these at Target and Walgreens. Fairly good prices, I thought. I don't think I will have much time to swatch any of these. I will be out of town until Sunday night, so I won't be able to post. :( But, I will as soon as I get back!!! Enjoy and please tell me if any of these polishes are any good!!! :)

Burgundy Frost

Good Evening. Today I have Wet n' Wild - Burgundy Frost. This is such a flattering red. It doesn't really have any shimmer to it, but it does have that "frosted" look to it... hence the name "Burgundy Frost." I loved the way the color looked in the bottle, and I think it looked just the same on my nails. It took only two coats. I wore it for a day with just one coat, and found that adding another really enhanced the color. Enjoy, but BEWARE... enlarging the pictures would be a bad idea, my nails and cuticles aren't lookin' so purty.
Have a good evening ya'll!!! :)

Bijou Blue

This is Wet n' Wild- Bijou Blue. I think that's a great name for this polish. It is such a pretty, "frosty" sky... maybe sea... blue. I loved how it looked in the bottle, and I think it looked even better on my nails. The application was pretty good, and it took about two coats, but it could probably use three. If ya'll didn't know, these polishes are only $0.99 at Walgreens. They might be at other places, but I've mostly seen them at Walgreens. They are pretty good little polishes, and there is a pretty good amount in the bottle. However, their selection of colors is sometimes a let down. I've found some pretty good colors and a cheap top coat from them. The only problem you might encounter is the drying time and the application. Some of them are a little more thick than others and some are just fine. They are good polishes to pick up if you don't want to spend a whole lot of money!
Enjoy!! Have a great evening!

Broken Hearted

I know I said a while back that I had some really interesting polishes to blog about, and I still do... I just need some really good sunlight, and we haven't had any of that lately :-/
Anyway, this is Wet n' Wild- Broken Hearted. For some reason, this polish looked really interesting in the store and I really wanted to buy it... so I did! haha It's a really pretty, creamy, mauve. Application was great, and it only took about two coats. Enjoy. :)

Subdued

This is Sinful Colors- Subdued. Now, this is an interesting pink. It kind of has a gray tone to it. It's really not a girly pink, it's just kind of a dull pink. But, I like to wear neutrals sometimes... and I guess I consider this a neutral. The application was fair, it's just a bit thick, which makes it hard to dry and hard to apply. But, the end result turned out okay. This probably isn't a "wow" color for ya'll, but I enjoy it when I wear it.

Show Me The Way + Pearl Harbor

Here is Sinful Colors- Show Me The Way on it's own and then topped with Pearl Harbor. This is a really great combo. The green is really pretty on it's own, but when you put Pearl Harbor on top it's even better. Above is two coats of Show Me The Way, and I believe, one coat of Pearl Harbor. Really, you can do as many coats of it as you want. But, I thought one looked good. Application for both was good. Enjoy. :)

Purple Diamond

Here is Sinful Colors- Purple Diamond. This is an amazing color. Very pretty purple with A LOT of sparkle. It's just a really really pretty, flattering color. I loved wearing it, and I caught myself looking at my nails a lot. It's even better on your nails than it is in the bottle. I recommend it!! :)
Enjoy.

My Chihuahua Bites!

Good Morning!!!
It's been a little while since I posted and I just found some pictures I forgot that I had taken.
Here are some better pictures of OPI- My Chihuahua Bites! I love this color, don't ya'll? It's a bright reddish coral. It takes three coats to get the finish you see in the pictures above. Application was really easy.
Enjoy!

Baby, It's "Coal" Outside!

This is OPI- Baby, It's "Coal" Outside! It's a very sparkly black.
I like it because it's so sparkly. There's really not much to say
about it, other than the application was good (pro-wide brush).
It takes two to three coats. It's a girly black, with the added
sparkle. Enjoy!

Siberian Nights

This is another polish that I have already posted... and wanted to post again. It's Siberian Nights!! One of my very favorite polishes. It is a very dark, rich, creamy purple. It looks almost black in the picture, but it really is purple. It has the pro-wide brush, which means, for me, it applied like a dream. It really only needs about two coats... you can do three, but I didn't find it necessary. It's a really nice color, so try it out ya'll!!!

Green-wich Village

This is OPI- Green-which Village. I have posted this before, but again, wanted to post it a second time. Although, I don't really think these pictures are any better. If you're looking for a stand-out green, this is definitely the one to go with. I've read a few blogs that describe it as "slime." I think that's an accurate description for this color. Don't ya'll think?? It's application was pretty good, and that is mostly due to the pro-wide brush. It takes three coats... two just doesn't work. The end result is just really cool, so I definitely recommend it!! :D
