Head Banging

Hey ya'll.

I wanted to try this color out so bad! And, I finally did. It is such a glittery, dark turquoise. Isn't it cool??

I used three coats, but you can get away with only two. When I applied the first coat, I was a little let down. It was really really runny and I didn't think the color would build at all. But, once I started to add that second coat I was very happy. It got much more glitter-y and the color really showed up. I didn't have any application problems, other than the first coat being runny. After that, it was PERFECT!

Memphis Haul

Hey ya'll. Thought I'd show you the nail polishes that I purchased in Memphis. These are all polishes I'm pretty sure you can get anywhere. haha.

Ya'll already saw the swatches of this one.

I have another one from the Northfork Collection! Yay! I just need the last one. I am currently wearing this... but I'm not going to take pictures of it until I have fixed all the little chips I've gotten. Such a pretty color! And, so fun to wear!

This is my first bottle of Pure Ice. Not too exciting, but I liked the color a lot... and I really wanted to buy it. :)

And my first Hot Topic nail polish. However, I can tell I am going to have problems with it. When I tested it... I lost count of how many coats I used... and it was still SO streaky. :-/ We'll see how it works next time. It's actually more yellow than orange... if ya'll can tell from the picture.

Steel-Her Heart

Hey ya'll!!! Did you miss my nail polish posts???

Here I have Revlon~ Steel-Her Heart. It's basically just a gunmetal color... I have another polish that is (I think) almost identical to it. I should compare them and show ya'll. Anyway, I got this one with my coupon... so it was only around two dollars. Which is about all I would really pay for it. The application was just okay... it was a little thick and goopy. Didn't really cover my nail all that well. This is the only bottle of Revlon that I own, and I don't know how many more I would get. :-/ But, I must admit... the color is very nice. :)

Oh! By the way... I did have a lot of chipping after about two days or so. That's partly why I didn't show my pinky in the pictures. If you look close, you can see the chipping on my index finger.

Heading Home Soon= Good and Bad

Hi ya'll.

Well, I'm headed home to the lovely state of Florida on Sunday. Really, it's good and bad. I'm excited to get to see my boyfriend again after 2 weeks... poor me, right? Not really... it could be alot worse. But, I must say I really do miss him. AND... I hear there was some bad weather in Jacksonville... that's always fantastic news to hear... NOT. Anyway, the really icky part about leaving is the fact that I'm really going to miss everyone. I'm here with my Grandparents... and I used to live just a few minutes away from them... wow... things have definitely changed. Now, I live almost 13 hours away from them. It really hurts sometimes because I am pretty close to my Grandparents (not location-wise! lol). I grew up being around them all the time and now I don't get to see them nearly as often. I'm hoping for another trip back this summer. I'm not sure I can wait until Thanksgiving or Christmas... I'm thinking August... but who knows what the rest of the summer will bring. Maybe they could come to us! We have the beach!!! lol! 

Well, I'm just complaining... and it's not even nail polish related. Who's bored?!!?? LOL! I understand most of the people that follow my blog mostly stop by to see... nail polish! And, that hasn't been on here in about two weeks. I promise to change that once I get back home. Just couldn't upload pictures while I was here. That's actually probably a good thing because then I would be too preoccupied with my nails and anything nail polish related. But, once again I do have some polishes (that I think are pretty cool) to show ya'll. I also said I would have pictures of my trip... but... I left my camera at the house every time I went somewhere interesting. Oh well. Maybe that's a sign that I should only post nail polish! haha

Just A Little Update

I currently can't upload any pictures... so I can't show you my latest haul. I can tell you that I have some really great polishes that I am DEFINITELY looking forward to using. Just wish I could show you them now! Oh well. Hope ya'll can wait.

Update

Thought I'd give ya'll a bit of an update on my trip to Memphis.

There's really not much going on. Been kind of lazy these last few days. But, vacations are meant for relaxing anyway, aren't they? lol

Today, the heat index reached 105-107 degrees. That's pretty darn hot... and I'm not sure it's that hot in Jacksonville right now... We've kept Darla inside most of the day... she's not really an outside dog anyway, so I don't think she minds that much.

We are staying with family, and they have a nice big backyard for her to run and play... and get pretty dirty, too! Today we found about five ticks on her. I don't think she has ever had that many at once! Luckily, she's very good and lets us take them out. She doesn't try to wiggle free or bite or anything. She's a very good dog, which makes it easier on us! haha

Anyway, I'm sure this isn't very interesting to many of you. Wish I had some nail pictures to show... but I don't. I'll try to get pics of my new polishes when I get home. I think I have about 5 or 6 more to go. Well, that and I am planning on getting some polishes while I'm here. I already have one! I also found a coupon for a dollar off Revlon cosmetics. It's for Target, and there's one right down the street! YAY!! :) lol

Here we have Jason Michael Carroll. This was the picture I liked the best when I was looking at pictures of him. If you google pictures of him, you'll find pictures with his hair down, and I don't like that as much. Anyway, like all my other favorite country music stars, I think he has a really good voice. Hello From Memphis

Well, I arrived in Memphis early Sunday evening. We made pretty good time coming up here.

Trip Postponed

Hey ya'll. 

Well, BIG SURPRISE... my trip to Tennessee has been postponed until Sunday.

Sunday seemed like a better day to travel than a Friday. We weren't even packed and ready to go anyway!

Unfortunately, I have decided to keep my nails the way they are... Sorry. :( They just look so cute. It's the Essie Shelter Island with the little hearts on my ring finger. :)

Anyway, this is Essie~ Shelter Island with Nicole by OPI~ Love Your Life on my ring finger.

Shelter Island is such a GORGEOUS sky blue creme. I absolutely LOVE it! It's so AWESOME! lol. I also love Love Your Life. I think it looks really cute on top of Shelter Island. I think I'm going to keep this on for my trip!! :)

Dozen Roses

Here is Sinful Colors~ Dozen Roses.

This is a pale shimmery pink, that can almost look like icing on your nails.

I used three coats. If you wanted to, you could get away with just two coats.

Application was good, I had no problems.

I really want to wear this for a longer amount of time. It's so pretty! :)

Here is L.A. Colors~ Current. It's a lovely shimmery lime green. 

I used three coats... I could almost go for four... just because it's a little bit sheer.

This was my first time using this brand and I really like it. It has a good formula and good coverage on my nails. I look forward to using my other colors from this brand.

Pink Crush + Comet

Here is Petites~ Pink Crush (the dark/metallic pink) with Comet (the glitter top coat).

On index and middle finger I have two coats of Pink Crush. On ring and pinky I have one coat of Pink Crush and two coats of Comet. Confusing??? lol

Pink Crush applies SOOOO WELL!!! It is like the perfect formula!! Comet applies just like every other glitter. The only difference was that it came off a little better. I really liked Pink Crush on its own AND paired with Comet. I thought they were the perfect match. :)

Will You Mari-achi Me?

Here's OPI~ Will You Mari-achi Me?

This is the one I found at KMART... I was so surprised to see this on the shelf! AND... I love it! Somehow, it reminds me of sugar. That's what I want to say to describe it... it looks like sugar on your nails! It has a gray-ish pink tone to it. Kind of hard to describe.

I used three coats, because it is quite sheer. This bottle didn't have the pro-wide brush, but I still thought the application was fine.

Ocean

Here is NYX~ Ocean. It is a gray-ish blue. It's kind of metallic... super shiny.

I used three coats because the brush strokes were so visible... and still are.

This is my first bottle of NYX and I really don't have any complaints. The brush is a good size and it covered my nails quite well. The bottle may look small, but I thought it was pretty heavy! That may be a weird thing to say-- but it's true! :D

Five Pocket

Hey ya'll. Get ready for alot of posts. I have alot of  swatches  to keep ya'll entertained while I'm gone.

This is Maybelline Express Finish~ Five Pocket. I guess they are referring to jeans?? I don't know... but I do know that I like this color alot. I don't have another blue like it. It has an incredible shine to it. Very pretty in the sunlight. 

I used two coats, it was pretty thick. This is a dollar store find... so I don't know how old the polish really is. But I only paid $1.00 for it... so no worries :)

In the pictures, you can kind of see brush strokes, and where it had trouble drying. I still think it's a great color! :)

One More Haul

Hey ya'll!

I have another haul... I've bought alot of nail products lately.

I got all of this the other day at Walgreens.

These seem to take nail polish off better than cotton balls. 
These are for the bits of nail polish that get stuck in the creases of your nails. It gets so annoying! These have a pointed end and they help alot!

This was actually a color my Mom picked up, but I'll use it, too.

This is Lavender Pearlescent... it's more pink than lavender...

I just thought this one was pretty.

And, I got this one because I've seen it on other blogs and it's pretty cool. :)

Will try to swatch these ASAP. I am going out of town for about two weeks. I'll remember my camera this time!! I probably won't have nail polish posts... but I'll do my best to keep up with ya'll's blogs!!!!! :) I leave early tomorrow.

Will get some swathes up today.

Chick Flick Cherry

Hey ya'll.

Here we have OPI~ Chick Flick Cherry.

I LOVE THIS POLISH!!!!!!! Look how GORGEOUS it is!!!!!!!

The application was PERFECT and I only used two coats.

It's sort of a blood red color, but... it's so sophisticated-looking. I am just in love with it! Can ya'll tell?? haha

Another Haul

My latest haul as of today. :) I found the OPI at KMART. That was a surprise. The Rock Star polish is the last of my order from Cherry Culture. And, the Maybelline polish and Nail Cleaning Sponges are from Dollar Tree.
I thought they would help clean up my nails a bit. Can't hurt to try! :) And only for a dollar... doesn't get much better than that!

I thought this color was really pretty. I don't think I have one like it.

This was all alone in KMART. I really don't even know how it got there. But, I was HAPPY to buy it! It was still the regular price of $8.50. I thought for sure it would be a little cheaper... yeah... not so much.


And... the last of the Cherry Culture haul. Can’t wait to post pics of this on my nails! :)

Island Smoothie

Here's the other CQ I picked up. It's called Island Smoothie. Absolutely LOVE that name!

The first picture is in really dark shade, and I think it looks very similar to Purely Pearl. But, the second picture that is sort of in the sun, makes the pink in the polish stand out a little more. I used four coats again, but you CAN get away with three.
