It's Been A While...

I always say I'm gonna get back to regular posting... it never happens. Y'all know the deal. But I do have a review that I was supposed to do like fifty years ago. So I actually do have that coming up. And it REALLY IS COMING because I've already written it out and put it on a schedule. Y'all are welcome. But I thought I should like update before I just throw a random review out there. I'm gonna try to sum up the end of 2012 and beginning of this year with a few pictures. I was going through the pics on my phone and I noticed that I have very few pictures of all the awesome things I've done. I get picture happy when I'm at an Arkansas game, but otherwise it's like I don't have a camera on my phone. Anyway, let's get started.
I have been obsessed with French manicures. Obsessed. I have no idea why. I mean I've always loved them because I think they look clean and classy. But I also like bling and bright colors. I've had a couple shellac French manicures and have loved them. My nails will go with everything I wear and they don't chip or get messed up. So easy and low maintenance! They're just really pricy.
My awesome Godmother lives in France and she was back in town recently. She gave me some AMAZING nail polish! It's a brand based in Switzerland called Mavala. She got me a really pretty red (that is the perfect Razorback red!!!!) a gorgeous gray and then a sparkly pink glitter. I didn't get pictures of the bottles, but I took a picture of the red on my nails, I have the glitter on my ring finger. This polish is seriously the best. Super pigmented and possibly the smoothest and easiest polish to apply EVER. I love it! So thank you, Michelle! And y'all can check out her blog and see what she's up to in France.
I went to a rodeo back in December. I love going to rodeos! So much fun. I went to the same one last year. I don't remember the exact title or whatever, but it's college students from all over competing. My favorite part is when they ride the bulls, but of course I didn't get a picture of that part.
And I just liked this picture. I thought the sky was so pretty, in the mirror and just out the window.

I've been really busy. The spring semester started about a month ago and I got really overwhelmed because my classes are pretty hard. But I'm getting into it and it's not as bad as I was thinking it would be. Of course, I did drop a class. Well let me tell you why... I have been putting off taking a Biology class because I cannot stand science. And so I registered to take it in the spring online. What was I thinking? Y'all try doing labs online and let me know how it goes. It was impossible. So I will be taking it like a normal person in a real class in the fall. I'm so dumb for choosing to take it online. Honestly, the only kind of class that really works online is one with a bunch of reading involved (like history). Not a really interactive class like Biology. So yeah I dropped it. That's over. And I feel a million times better.

What's been going on with y'all? I'm sorry for not being very consistent with my blogging. :( Y'all can always follow me on twitter or look me up on facebook, because for whatever reason I always have time for that. ;)

I'm An Arkansas Girl, Y'all

So I know I haven't blogged in a while, and I'm very sorry about that. But I can show y'all what I've been up to lately... Callin the Hogs! ;) I have lots of photos from my trip to Fayetteville, AR this past weekend. I went with my Mom and we were able to go to the Razorbacks football game on Saturday night vs. Kentucky. We had so much fun! I hope she doesn't mind me putting a few of our pictures together on here, they were just too cute not to post. Take a look at these photos from the YOU of A. :)
This is the back of the HUGE wide screen you can see from the field. The football field is Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, Razorback Stadium for short.
My mama & me! There were some really big storms moving through the area, that actually delayed the game TWICE and eventually forced a termination. We had our $15 rain ponchos, though. Aren't we cute?!
The University of Arkansas has a mini Walmart on campus (and for those who don't know, Walmart was founded in NWA, so this isn't unusual) and they were selling the new Razorback poptarts! Had to get these.
This is the band on their pre-game march around the stadium. Even they were wearing their ponchos.

Here we are again! Before the rain.
This is the bus the cheerleaders ride in on. Our mascot, Tusk IV is in the cage on the bottom.
I love when the band marches around with the Razorback flags. I got as many pics of this as I could.
The band on the big screen.
This is a better view of the big screen, and a pic I got the next day.
Big screen again. I looked at this more than the field because it is HUGE and you feel like you're down there on the field.
This is along the practice fields.
And here's Tusk IV! Kind of hard to see, but he was definitely there!
This was at halftime, and you can see how many people had left. The first rain delay took lots of people out of the stadium. You can see some Kentucky blue down there.
This is the band marching through before the game and the players warming up.
This was one of the most awesome things, Randy Jackson stopped by!
This is running along where Old Main sits on campus.
This is my favorite thing about halftime. I love when they run the flag of Arkansas and the Razorback flag. I get chills when they run them down the field. I love my home state and the University of Arkansas!

I had such a great time at the game! We won 49-7 and we didn't even get to play 4 whole quarters. After the second rain delay, the game was terminated. So we scored 49 points in barely 3 quarters of play. All kinds of school records were made Saturday night, and I'm so glad I was able to be there! My Mom had a great time, too. We both agree that it was the most fun game we've been to by far. And this has been stuck in my head since Saturday night:
"Hit that line, Hit that line. Keep on going,
Take that ball right down the field
Give a cheer, Rah! Rah!
Never fear, Rah! Rah!
Arkansas will never yield
On your toes Razorbacks to the finish
Carry on with all your might
For it's A-R-K-A-N-S-A-S for Arkansas
Fight, Fight, Fight!"

Go Hogs Go! I'm going to another game on the 27th and I'm stoked! I have some nail pics coming soon of what I had on for this game and other pictures of the other things we did in NWA. Have a good one, y'all! :)

Game Day Nails!

Hey y'all! I've really been wanting to share my game day nails! On September 8 I went to a Razorbacks football game in Little Rock and I had to have good looking nails. I went with a "shellac" manicure because I wanted something that would last for a real long time. And it has! I'm still rocking this. It's actually OPI's version, which is all I've ever used. I haven't actually done the CND Shellac. I just call it all Shellac because it's easier. I'm not sure if any of that made sense to y'all, but yeah. So I picked OPI Big Apple Red. It IS Razorback RED! Perfect! And my nails looked perfect while calling the Hogs! Although, I really don't want to talk about the outcome of that game... or the one after it... but we'll survive and bounce back! Of course if you follow me on Twitter, I'm constantly tweeting and retweeting Razorback stuff. ;)
My Razorback sock monkey was the perfect thing to hold for this picture. It's so cute! I have a ledge over my bed that holds all of my Razorback stuff. I took a picture of it, but I'm going to include that in a special post that I'm thinking up. Plus all my photos from the game, which are all on my Facebook page. I'm going to another game in October and I'm probably gonna get a lot more pictures then. So I guess I'll post all of that sometime in late October/early November. So anyway! I've been wearing this for a little over two weeks. It will probably have to come off soon because it's growing off. I'm not going to get a fill this time, too expensive PLUS they upped their price for Shellac on me! I was so surprised! It ended up being about $45 with a tip. Ew!

So y'all call the Hogs today as they take on Rutgers in Fayetteville! I'll be faithfully watching & calling! :)

The Office Collection From Essie?!?

So I was busy pinning today while I had a break during work. I pin like a million different things, and never focus on, like, just one topic. I go from something like one of those ecard things to a killer new bag that I need. But something I pin a lot of is nail polish, nail art ideas, stuff like that. So today I stumbled upon a collection that Essie is supposedly putting out based off of The Office. I just want to know if anyone knows anything about this!? I did a little research, but I'm not really getting anywhere with that. So if anyone has the details on this, hook a girl up! The Office is one of my absolute favorite shows of all time. The only thing Essie could do better than a collection based off of The Office is a collection based off of Friends. ;)

So here's a link to my Pinterest account. And here's the link to the pin about the collection. Y'all can follow me if you want! I pin way more often that a person should. ;)

And just because I don't want to be severely boring with this post, I'm gonna post something funny I found on Pinterest the other day. Y'all are welcome in advance. Happy Friday! And I hope y'all are all gonna watch some college football tomorrow! I'm already callin' my Hogs! College football is back and all is well in the world again. :)

Essie: Super Bossa Nova & Vlog 24!

Hey y'all! So I finally have real things to post! I spent my Sunday afternoon prepping this post. I'm so happy to have something actually interesting to share. I know my last polish post was kinda ehh, so hopefully y'all will think this one's better. First of all, shout out to Edy for letting me use Super Bossa Nova! :) Here are the pics of that.

I'm quite positive this is the best pink EVER. I love love love it! It has a tendency to flash a little bit of blue in certain lighting. I think that's pretty cool. And! It only needs two thin coats. Score! I love a good two-coater. Plus the formula was perfect. So thanks again, Edy! I hope you'll love it just as much when you wear it. :)
So now for my 24th vlog! This one is long, just a fair warning. I had so much to say! I kept it under 10 minutes, though. So if y'all have the time to check this one out, I'd be so happy!
So yeah! That's what's going on with me! I just put on the butter London I mentioned in the video. LOVE it. It reminds me a lot of Ruby Slippers. So I might have a dupe on my hands. I'm not complaining though. Sparkly reds are where it's at! Just kidding. But they are pretty sweet if you're an Arkansas girl. :) BTW! GO HOGS! So proud that we're 9-1! I'm loving this season, but so sad it's almost over.
How are y'all? What do y'all think of Super Bossa Nova? What's your favorite pink? How's your team doing, if you have one? Let me know!
Thanks for reading! :)

OPI: My Chihuahua Bites! + Teenage Dream & Vlog 22!

Hey y'all! Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh. The game starts in about 30 minutes and my heart is pounding out of my chest! Go Hogs Go! Woo Pig Sooie! Beat those Tigers!
So this polish combo is probably my favorite yet. I found Teenage Dream the other day and can I just say... LOVE?!? It is so gorgeous. I want every single glitter OPI has put out. Seriously. So take a look!

I did ONE coat of My Chihuahua Bites! and ONE coat of Teenage Dream. Look at all that sparkle! Isn't it perfect?! It's the girl-iest manicure I've worn in like forever and I ADORE it. Sometimes you just need a pink, bling overload. Or at least that's what I needed!
This vlog just talks a little bit more about this manicure. I hope y'all will watch & enjoy!
Call those Hogs y'all! I'll be watching faithfully! And of course calling my Hogs. I just love fall in the south! WPS!
What do y'all think of this combo? Do you love OPI like I do? What's your favorite glitter combo? Let me know!
Thanks for reading & watching. :)

Chanel: Particuliere & An Update

So first of all, I need to apologize for my time away. My life is just ridiculously full of crap. I can't even begin to explain to y'all how stressful it is. I'm getting awesome grades in school, so it's not that big of a deal, but that doesn't mean that my classes aren't still stressful and time consuming. But my goal is to have a really good GPA so that I can transfer to a university easily. But on top of all that, I'm having relationship issues. And I need a job. And I go crazy if I stay in the house too long. Ugh. So that's where I've been, and where I'll probably be for a while. I hope I can get back to every day posting, but if it doesn't happen, I'm sorry. But my goal is that if that doesn't happen I'll at least be posting once a week. But no worries, y'all! I can't forget about this blog because I love it way too much.
So today I wanted to show y'all Chanel Particuliere. I just love this polish! It's just your basic, kind of mud brown. But how perfect is it for fall? I think it's great! Take a look!

I love Chanel. Love. Love. Love. Two coats is plenty for this polish. And the consistency is just right. Ahhh-mazing! I don't even know what else to say about it. ha!
What do y'all think of Particuliere? Do any of y'all have it? What's your favorite Chanel polish? What's your favorite polish for fall? Let me know!
Oh! I also wanted to tell y'all how freakin PROUD I am of my Hogs! They came back from an 18 point deficit to win the game 42-38! HOLLA! Love love love my Razorbacks! Woo Pig Sooie!
Thanks for reading. :)

China Glaze: Ruby Pumps

Hey y'all! It's Game Day so I have a red to show y'all! I told y'all in my last vlog that I got my nails done yesterday with Ruby Pumps, and I also ended up buying the polish from the salon. I'm so happy because this is the perfect red! And it's a good Razorback red! I couldn't get any sunlight pics because the sun doesn't want to cooperate with me today. And y'all will also see my super short nails. Oh well! Take a look at Ruby Pumps!

That last picture was to sort of show off the glitter/shimmer. Unsuccessful. I'm hoping to one day get really good pics of this with some awesome sunlight shots. This polish is completely opaque in two coats, which is perfect! And you don't need a solid coat of red underneath. It's not a layering polish. I do have to say that I had an incredibly hard time getting this to dry. I think the top coat the nail tech used wasn't very good. I have all kinds of finger prints (and even sheet marks!) on almost every nail. I don't understand that, because I stayed at the salon for what seemed like forever to let these dry. It just never happened. So I don't know what the deal is. The marks don't show up as much, though, because you kinda get distracted by all the glitter. It really doesn't bother me too much. The red is just too gorgeous!
Today my Hogs are taking on Troy at Fayetteville. Wish I could be there to cheer them on! It should be a really good game and an easy win. After Troy comes the big teams like Alabama and Texas A&M. I'm confident that my Hogs will have a great season! Woo Pig Sooie! And let's go SEC! College football in the South is in full swing! :)
What do y'all think of Ruby Pumps? What's your favorite red nail polish? What team are you cheering for today? Let me know!
Thanks for reading & have a great Saturday! :)

Revlon: Winter Mist

Happy Labor Day, y'all! I hope everyone has had a nice, relaxing weekend! I've had such a great weekend. My Razorbacks won 51-7 against Missouri State on Saturday night! I seriously had the best time at that game! I'm ready for the rest of the season. Woooo Pig Soooie!
Today I'm going to show y'all the last polish from the mini Revlon set I found at Big Lots. I don't know about y'all, but I'm tired of showing these little Revlon's. I'm ready to talk about something else. ha! Anyway, this is Winter Mist. It's just a basic grey. No shimmer or anything, just grey. I do like this shade because it seems like grey is going to be pretty big in the fall & winter. Take a look!

I only needed two coats for this one. It was a little more pigmented than I was expecting, which is always good! The formula was also good, just the right consistency. I don't really have anything bad to say about this set. All three polishes had a great formula and great application. The colors weren't all that unique, but I still liked them.

What do y'all think of this shade of grey? What colors are y'all looking forward to wearing in the fall & winter? What did y'all think of this set of polishes? Which was your favorite? Let me know!

Thanks for reading! :)

OPI: Chick Flick Cherry + Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear: Black Out & How To Call The Hogs!

Hey y'all! Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a great day and that y'all have an even better weekend! As y'all know I'm heading to Fayetteville, AR for the first Razorbacks game of the season. Woo Pig Sooie!
So I decided that I definitely wanted my nails to be red for the game, and this is the perfect "Razorback Red." OPI Chick Flick Cherry! I added four little dots to my ring finger. It's such a sad attempt at "nail art." I'm sorry y'all, it must be a big let down. But I hope y'all will enjoy the pics!

Chick Flick Cherry only needs two coats and the formula is fantastic! I love working with OPI polishes because they are always good. And I'm like best friends with the pro-wide brush, so you know. I used SH Xtreme Wear Black Out for the dots, and I used my dotting tool. Which I love, by the way! Since dots are the only thing I can do, that little tool has been a tremendous help. So what do y'all think? Lame attempt at nail art? Pretty red? Let me know!
And here's a youtube video I thought I should share with y'all. If you want to know what I'll be doing a lot of on Saturday, here ya go.

WOO PIG SOOIE! RAZORBACKS! Y'all just don't know how excited I am! Razorback football is my Fall!
I'm going to be scheduling some posts for while I'm gone. I'll talk to y'all when I get back. Have a great weekend! Thanks for reading & watching! :)

Can I get a Woooo Pig Soooie?!

Well hey y'all! It's been a while since I did a little posting here, so I thought I'd drop by.
I'm excited for tonight because my Arkansas Razorbacks will be in Starkeville, MS to play the Mississippi State Bulldogs. It's a big night for my 8-2 #13 Razorbacks! Wooo Pig Sooie! In honor of the big night ahead, I decided to sport some red nails, courtesy of OPI's Chick Flick Cherry- probably the best red in my collection. It's got a great formula and dries super quick with the help of Nicole by OPI's Top Coat Plus. I did two coats of CFC and then topped it off with my top coat. A few weeks ago I went into Sally's to look for a dotting tool. I found one, and I can't believe I went that long without one. When it comes to nail art, I have no creativity and it just gives me a headache trying to come up with some sort of design. Needless to say, dots are the extent of my creativity on my nails. The dotting tool makes it so easy to create the perfect dot. So I used black for the dots- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black Out. Black Out is the cheapest, yet best black out there, very easy to work with. I topped it off, again, with my top coat. I like the outcome of this manicure. It's festive and I think I'll try to leave it on for Thanksgiving, as well. I don't really think of red for that holiday, but it is my favorite color and I think I can pull it off. :)

I hope y'all are enjoying the weekend. We have beautiful weather here. It's not super cold and it's definitely not hot! Lovin it! I think that's all for now, but, of course, GO HOGS! :)

Ya'll Call Those Hogs Today! :)

Big game today, ya'll! We're headin down to Athens, GA to play the Georgia Bulldogs. :) WOOO PIGGGG SOOOIIIEEEEE!!!

RAZ.jpg

Ya'll just don't know how excited I am! :) Good luck to ya'll's teams today... and as always... GO SEC FOOTBALL!
