Set the Nude

Today I'm showing y'all Ulta- Set the Nude.

Like pretty much every polish I own, I love this! This is kind of a chalky grey/really light tan. I used three coats. The first coat looked pretty streaky, so I was worried that the color wouldn't build right or that you would see streaks no matter how many coats you put on. But I was wrong! After the second coat, it started to look a lot better. And the third coat made it perfect. I used a top coat to even everything out and I love the way it looks! It can look really grey indoors. My Mom wore this a while back and got a lot of compliments on it. Very pretty neutral if that's what you're into. :)

Questions? I'll Answer!

Hey y'all!
My sister and I have been thinking about ways to spice up this little blog I've got going, and she had a really neat idea! So I think I'm going to try it and see how it goes. If y'all have any questions about me, anything from nail polish and make up to the most random things you can think of, leave me a question in the comments and I'll answer it in a video-blog thing. :) I think this will be a lotta fun and another way for y'all to get to know me better. Oh! And my sister will "guest-star" in the video. Fun, right? I hope so! So ask away! :) And for now I will leave you with a picture of my sister and me. Nail pics will be on schedule for tomorrow!

Tauped

Today I have Sonia Kashuk- Tauped.

I love this color and the incredibly easy-to-work-with formula! It was so easy to apply! It's really pigmented, so with the first coat I was so surprised. The second coat topped things off perfectly. This color is perfect for fall. I know I'm gonna wear it a lot come October/November. I can't wait! I definitely recommend picking this one up, or any other Sonia Kashuk polish. All of the polishes I've tried have been great. I found mine at Target and they're about $4.99. :)

Mini Haul

Hey y'all! How was everybody's weekend? Mine was pretty good! Friday was really nothing special. I went out for frozen yogurt with my family and made an evening trip to Walmart... which is always fun, right?! ha! Saturday we had reservations in Harbor Town for Paulette's. Probably some of the best food in this world! Oh, and one thing about frozen yogurt... really just a simple suggestion. If you see a Banana Pudding yogurt, don't get it. Oh my it was so gross! Banana is a risky flavor. And that's all I'm going to say about that. :) On to the mini haul! I was out and about with my Mom today and we stopped in Target, one of my favorite stores. I ended up with everything you see in this post.
This top was only $12.99! I love light, loose tops right now. It's summer and it's the coolest thing to wear. You can always pair it with a light sweater if you're going out. I'll usually put a colored tank top under something like this.
My Mom kindly bought this polish. She loved the color and so did I! It's really neat and one I haven't seen from this brand before. Can't wait to try it out! :) The name is Grey Area. Have y'all seen/heard about it?
She also bought these Drying Drops- how kind! She's read about these in several different magazines, so she wanted to try them. Does anyone know if these work? I'm really anxious to see if they work! I think they cost the same as one of the polishes from Nicole by OPI.
And then I bought these sandals. I've been wanting them for a few weeks now. I think they're just too cute! They come in a few different colors, but the turquoise is too cute to turn up. Looove! I think they'll look cute with that black top and some jean shorts. :) Oh! And they were only $15! Heck yeah!

So good haul right? Yeah, I think so. What did y'all do this weekend? Is it as hot where y'all are as it is here? I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday and that everyone has a great week! Nail posts will resume tomorrow. :)

P.S. Check out this great blog! :)

Turquoise & Caicos

I have another Essie for y'all today - Turquoise & Caicos.
This is one of my favorite blues. I told y'all once before that even though I own this, when I see it in stores I always pick it up. I'm drawn to it. It is a jelly, which I love. I used three coats. With the first coat, it looks like it will never build to the bottle color. But with the next two coats, you will be pleasantly surprised. I only got a sunlight picture for y'all today. And it's complete with a top coat. :) I loooove it!

Beach Bum Blu

Today I have Essie- Beach Bum Blu. It was instant love, in case y'all wanted to know. :)

It went on perfectly smooth in three, fairly thin coats. It has that metallic look, but it's also kinda sparkly. I love it when you step out into the sun. It's like it becomes a different color. It's just a really great polish. The formula was good, but kind of thin. I think that was okay though because it covered my nails just fine. I love it!

Sonic Bloom

Today I have Sally Hansen Insta Dri- Sonic Bloom.

These pinky-reds have become my thing this summer! And let me tell you, this polish is AMAZING. It is soooo pigmented! I used two coats, but I really don't know why. Maybe to make it pop even more. But if you were in a hurry, one coat would work just fine. I had no problems applying this. It went on super smooth, and of course, it dries pretty fast. I still have to get used to that awkward brush, but it covered my nails really nicely. I really love it, and it has become one of my favorites! :)
