Deborah Lippmann: Across the Universe

Hey y'all! I can't remember if I posted pictures of Across the Universe, but I think if I did, these pictures will be much better. I got Across the Universe from Amazon back last fall. I didn't actually know Amazon had polish. But I had gotten an Amazon gift card for graduation so I checked to see! And they had tons! Looking back, I probably could have used that gift card for books... because college textbooks are ridiculously expensive. Oh well! So take a look at Across the Universe!

Is it not like THE most gorgeous polish ever?!? I love, love, LOVE it! It was a little difficult to apply, but I think I'm just getting used to its consistency. You have to be careful, because you will get some dragging from the glitter, and probably a few bald spots. You need about three coats. I say "about" because I was able to get away with two thick coats on most nails. I think it's all in how skilled of a polisher you are. This would probably look AMAZING over a navy blue or even black. I haven't experimented with it. I think I would really like to get more DL's in my collection. Maybe some that don't have glitter. I've seen so many gorgeous shades that I definitely want to purchase! But they are kinda expensive, so I'll have to wait a while before dropping so much $$$ on nail polish.

What do y'all think of Across the Universe? Do you have any DL's? If so, which ones and how do you like them? If you don't own any, which ones would you consider getting?

I hope y'all are all doing great! I'm having a pretty good week so far, but I'm not looking forward to working Thursday-Saturday open to close. But it does mean more money, so I guess that's a plus. Oh! One exciting thing! I'm getting to co-teach a kindergarten Sunday School class up at my church starting next Sunday! I'm so excited! And this has come at the most perfect time since I just decided what my major will be- elementary education! Anyway! I'm pretty excited about that. And I'm kinda counting down to the start of college football. Only 30 something days away. I'm practicing my hog calls everyday. ;)

Mini Haul!

I had a big weekend with some really exciting polish, so I want to share that with y'all today. I had ordered two polishes off of Amazon, and one of those was the Kleancolor polish I showed y'all in my last vlog. But I also ordered a Deborah Lippmann polish! I picked out Across the Universe! Ahh! Y'all don't know how excited I am! It's my first DL polish, and I have no idea when I'll be able to get another one, but this one is good enough for now!

I also went to Big Lots yesterday just to take a look at the cosmetics section. There really wasn't much in the way of polish, but I did find this LA Colors, Amethyst, for one dollar. Score!

And today I saw a new L'Oreal display at Walgreens and just couldn't resist picking up this polish. Oh my gosh I'm in love with it! I don't know if y'all will be able to tell from the pics, but it's kind of a dark base with like olive colored shimmer. It's gorgeous! I think the name is kinda cool too, Owl's Night. Kinda cool for fall!

So that's it for my haul! I don't know why I didn't do a vlog for this, but I figured I might as well post a haul, because I haven't done that in a long time.

I'm bracing myself for another hectic week. I can't stand my Tuesday & Thursday schedules. So that's really what I'm really dreading. But anyway!
