Target Clearance Haul

Hey y'all! I'm doing a haul post today! I haven't done one of these in so long! That's actually a good thing because it means I haven't been buying a bunch of stuff. But! I have found some stuff recently that really rocks. So I want to share that with y'all. I'd like to start by saying, please, please, PLEASE check the clearance section at your nearest Target! That's where I've found this cool stuff for killer prices! The clearance section (in the beauty section of Target) is usually on some end-cap towards the end of the beauty stuff. Or at least that's where they are here. Y'all just might find some pretty awesome stuff. Look at what I've found!

I got those Nail Strips for $2.55! Y'all! They're regularly $8.50. Ridonk, right!?! I was so happy to find those because I have been wanting to try them. But I can't bring myself to pay over $8 for them. Maybe if I have good luck with these I'll try them again. I found that coppery polish for 90 cents! It's made by Cos Bar, I think? That's what the bottle says, but I'm not familiar with the brand. It also doesn't have a name. I hate that, but I can't pass up a 90 cent polish. That last polish is a Pixi polish! Yes! It's called Metallic Mermaid and it was $2.40. I have to thank my Mama for the polish strips and Pixi polish. She actually bought those for me. Thank you Mama! :)

So I really have to urge y'all to check out the clearance section at your Target. I have a few Target stores in the area that I go to pretty frequently, so I have multiple opportunities to find awesome stuff. Have y'all found anything in clearance areas that you couldn't pass up? Have you checked out Target's clearance stuff?

I'm having a weird night, y'all. My camera made me really mad because it would NOT get a decent picture of this stuff. I gave up. That's why the picture is so horrible. And then my computer just randomly shut down as I was in the middle of typing this post. It shut down with no warning. Usually it lets me know when it is running on "reserve power" but this time it never did. Not lovin that, little macbook- get yo act togetha! Anyway! I have another full day of work tomorrow and Saturday. I'm hoping to try out these nail strips sometime between now and Sunday. I'm really excited to share it with y'all.

butter London Haul!

Today's an exciting day, y'all! Ulta had their buy one get one free butter London deal going on! Y'all better believe I gunned it to my Ulta after my classes were over! Oh yeah. You can't miss out on this kind of opportunity. It's too good. I was really worried that there wouldn't be much of a selection, but there really was! I found Victoriana and Wallis! I knew after seeing Victoriana on one of my favorite blogs, Eat.Sleep.Polish, I HAD to have it! It's sooo pretty! And then, of course, I needed Wallis. Everyone knows how gorgeous that polish is! I was so happy when I found it!

Seriously... are these not the most gorgeous polishes ever?! butter London does it up good! I'm so happy to add these to my ever-growing collection. The best part about this purchase was the fact that, well one of them was free, but I also had my $3.50 off coupon. So what did I pay? About $11 for both of these! Holla!

Mini Haul!

I had a big weekend with some really exciting polish, so I want to share that with y'all today. I had ordered two polishes off of Amazon, and one of those was the Kleancolor polish I showed y'all in my last vlog. But I also ordered a Deborah Lippmann polish! I picked out Across the Universe! Ahh! Y'all don't know how excited I am! It's my first DL polish, and I have no idea when I'll be able to get another one, but this one is good enough for now!

I also went to Big Lots yesterday just to take a look at the cosmetics section. There really wasn't much in the way of polish, but I did find this LA Colors, Amethyst, for one dollar. Score!

And today I saw a new L'Oreal display at Walgreens and just couldn't resist picking up this polish. Oh my gosh I'm in love with it! I don't know if y'all will be able to tell from the pics, but it's kind of a dark base with like olive colored shimmer. It's gorgeous! I think the name is kinda cool too, Owl's Night. Kinda cool for fall!

So that's it for my haul! I don't know why I didn't do a vlog for this, but I figured I might as well post a haul, because I haven't done that in a long time.

I'm bracing myself for another hectic week. I can't stand my Tuesday & Thursday schedules. So that's really what I'm really dreading. But anyway!

One Polish Haul, Awesome News, & Pinterest!

Hey y'all! I had a pretty exciting weekend! I only bought ONE polish which is totally amazing because that's not usually how I roll. I stopped in Rite Aid to look at polishes and nothing caught my attention except this little CQ polish, Peachy Keen!

I thought it was super cute and the name is cute. I'm excited to try it out. I enjoy my CQ polishes. The formula is usually fine and I always enjoy looking at the display. So why not?!

Ok so now my exciting news! I got a car today! My Dad gave me his 2009 Ford Fusion and I'm in love! I love Fords and always knew I wanted one. I've mentioned before that I really wanted a Ford Escape... but I'm not complaining! I'm so excited to finally have my own car. But it does mean I have to pay for everything. And get a job. I don't want to do either of those things, but it's time! Where should I look for a job? I only have two ideas of places. And I don't want to work in a grocery store or with food. I want to work somewhere different, maybe a place I enjoy going to. That way it's a unique job and one that I will hopefully enjoy. Exciting!

Now on to Pinterest! Have y'all heard of this site? It's really fun! All you do is sign up via email (it's free), search for something, say NAIL POLISH! (or whatever you want. I've been searching a few different things and one of my favorites is SEC football. And of course Arkansas Razorbacks!) and all these really cool ideas come up. You can "like" anything you see and then you can "pin" it to your boards. I'm having so much fun pinning stuff! Tiny Haul!

I don't really know if a haul post can get much smaller than this! Ha! I just recently picked up a few polishes and I wanted to show them to y'all.

First off, I bought this No Miss Nail Polish named Daytona Sand at Whole Foods in Jacksonville. I hadn't heard of this brand before, so I was curious and decided to pick one up. I got this one mostly for the name. We lived fairly close to Daytona Beach so I guess there is some nostalgia there. I like the color, though, so it's definitely not a waste! You can check out No Miss Cosmetics here. On Friday I stopped in Rite Aid just to look around. There wasn't anything on display that really grabbed my attention, which is unusual because there almost always is! But that's okay, more money I didn't spend. I went back in to the real cosmetics area and checked out the CQ, Chameleon, and Petites polishes. I always like to look at those because they're pretty cheap and have a great color selection. So these two CQ's were right next to each other. I grabbed Mint Green first because I love a good creamy, pastel green. I'm really looking forward to wearing that one. And then I couldn't pass up Corduroy. Isn't it different? I don't have another color like that.

Latest Haul!

Do I shop too much? Possibly... Do I buy too much nail polish? Well, yeah. But if I didn't, I wouldn't have this lovely little blog! So welcome to my latest haul. :)

From left to right I have: Sephora by OPI brush-on cuticle oil, CND Stickey Anchoring Base Coat, Essie Limo-Scene, Urban Outfitters Barstool, Urban Outfitters Hangover, Savvy by Femme Couture Shimmer Time, Nina Ultra Pro Sailor.

Lotsa new stuff! I'm excited to try everything out! I desperately needed more cuticle oil. I've had my brush on cuticle oil for almost two years without it running out, so I know this one will last a long time. I love it. I can always get the right amount out and it's just very easy to use. And it's not expensive, like $7 or $8. I've also needed a decent base coat FOREVER. I have no idea what to use. I found the CND at Beauty Max for $5.95. I really hope it's okay. I just need something. I've been using an OPI Ridge Filler, and I do use it a lot, and it works. But I think sometimes it ruins the polish I'm using for a manicure. So I'm on to something else! I'll still use the ridge filler because it does work well for certain polishes.

I picked up the Essie at Beauty Max, too. Actually, my Mom bought it because she's been seeing it around and really likes it. So I didn't have to spend my money on that one- thanks Mama! The two polishes I'm most excited about are the Urban Outfitters! I just went in there today and I LOVE the store. It's so much fun! They have like everything. Including NYX make up and a few nail polishes. We had an UO in Jacksonville, but just recently got one here in the Cooper Young area. It's really a fun place and the layout of this one is really cute. Their polish was buy 2 for $8, so of course I picked some up! I had a hard time picking them out, because honestly, I wanted all of them. Maybe next time! ha! And then the last two, Savvy Shimmer Time and Nina Sailor, I picked up at Sally's. They were both on sale for $0.99! Yay!

So that's my latest haul! It might be time for me to stop for a while, hahah. Today was a much better day. I was able to get out of the house and hang out around Memphis for a few hours. It really made up for yesterday. I went out for Mexican food with my Mom and then we went to Muddy's bake shop in East Memphis. They have *the* best cupcakes ever. They're the perfect size with the perfect amount of icing, and it doesn't feel like you just ate five thousand cupcakes at one time. Does that make sense???? And they're not over-priced, which can be really annoying, because it's just a cupcake, ya know? And then we went to Urban Outfitters. So the day was good! :)

Mini Haul

Hey y'all! How was everybody's weekend? Mine was pretty good! Friday was really nothing special. I went out for frozen yogurt with my family and made an evening trip to Walmart... which is always fun, right?! ha! Saturday we had reservations in Harbor Town for Paulette's. Probably some of the best food in this world! Oh, and one thing about frozen yogurt... really just a simple suggestion. If you see a Banana Pudding yogurt, don't get it. Oh my it was so gross! Banana is a risky flavor. And that's all I'm going to say about that. :) On to the mini haul! I was out and about with my Mom today and we stopped in Target, one of my favorite stores. I ended up with everything you see in this post.

This top was only $12.99! I love light, loose tops right now. It's summer and it's the coolest thing to wear. You can always pair it with a light sweater if you're going out. I'll usually put a colored tank top under something like this.
My Mom kindly bought this polish. She loved the color and so did I! It's really neat and one I haven't seen from this brand before. Can't wait to try it out! :) The name is Grey Area. Have y'all seen/heard about it?
She also bought these Drying Drops- how kind! She's read about these in several different magazines, so she wanted to try them. Does anyone know if these work? I'm really anxious to see if they work! I think they cost the same as one of the polishes from Nicole by OPI.
And then I bought these sandals. I've been wanting them for a few weeks now. I think they're just too cute! They come in a few different colors, but the turquoise is too cute to turn up. Looove! I think they'll look cute with that black top and some jean shorts. :) Oh! And they were only $15! Heck yeah!

Another Haul?!

Yep! I'm at it again, buying nail polish like it's going outta style. Seriously, a new bottle(s) of nail polish is one of the best things. :)

I was really on a mission to find those nail polish wheels today. I never really intended to go polish shopping. But that's what ended up happening. To find those nail wheels, I went to Sally's. You know, that place that has the displays of China Glaze, Orly, Finger Paints, and Nina polishes? The place where it's almost impossible to walk out *without* a polish? Yeah. So nothing caught my attention except Tangerine Dream by Nina Ultra Pro. I don't have any Nina's in my collection, so this is a nice addition to my polish "family."

After leaving Sally's, I was going through all these places in my head. Where can I go for more polish? One bottle just wasn't quite cutting it for me today. My next stop was Walgreens. I got Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Barricuda. I saw this lovely color on Kellie's blog! After seeing it I knew I had to have it, and $7.99 wasn't gonna stop me. :)
Next was Rite-Aid. They have so many different displays of polishes. And even some brands that I didn't recognize, like a color changing thing? But what they did have was the Revlon "Just Tinted" polishes. No other store had those on display. I just got one - Victorian. I love the formula! I know I'm gonna get good use out of it. I also got a little Petites polish - Mango. I needed a bright orange. The bottle picture I have for this one isn't really color-accurate. It's a lot brighter and looks more orange than red. I love it! I found an Orly the other day that was similar to this orange, but I never got it. $1.99 is a better price anyway. :)

And my last stop was Target. I still have lots of gift cards so that's what I used for these two new Sally Hansen Insta Dri's - Sonic Bloom and Fuchsia Flare. I like my other Insta Dri's, so I thought this was a good addition. I tried them out and they are super pigmented- yay! :)
Swatching/Testing/Painting/etc. starts tomorrow! What do y'all want to see?! I'm really excited to try out all my haul polishes. :)

Hauls!

Despite my lack of blog posts, I've still managed to get my hands on a few new polishes. So I thought a "haul" post would be a good idea to get me back into the swing of things! :) These photos are terrible. Let's just say I'm not the tech-savvy one in the family.

Essie has kind of been my favorite brand lately... I think it's because it's become easier to find them. You can find them at Walgreens, WalMart, etc. I love their selection of blues, and even though I own the beautiful Turquoise & Caicos, I pick it up almost every time I see it, forgetting that I have it at home ready to be used. I'm weird. I bought all of these (with the exception of Mochacino, which my Mom purchased) at the regular price. It's about $8 a bottle. I bought them on separate occasions, but they're still a bit pricy. From left to right we have Beach Bum Blu, Turquoise & Caicos, Tart Deco, and Mochacino.
And who could pass up a brand new bottle of OPI? Two of these I bought a LONG time ago. I've worn them, but never posted them here. The first two are Samoan Sand and Bubble Bath. I found those at Target. My Mom bought the last one, Mimosas for Mr. & Mrs., last weekend at Ulta. She's sporting the color right now, and it looks perfect. But her nails are also perfect. :) We're both really drawn to these soft, neutral colors.
I always saw Jesse's Girl polishes on other blogs and never knew where to find them. I popped into Rite Aid a few months back and found a small display with a few of their colors. I like to buy new brands in two's if they're fairly inexpensive so I ended up with Beach Baby, the neon pink, and Julieg. I've already posted Julieg, and it's my go-to summer color. It's just perfect and I can't tell you how many times I've used it. I love it. These were $2.99 each if I can remember correctly. And I think it was buy one get one half off or something like that. It was kind of a long time ago so I'm not 100% on those details. They're really good, though. I'm pretty sure I'll go back for more. :)

Yay for a really blurry pic. This one wouldn't cooperate, so I'm sorry! I had been eye-ing a few of these Insta-Dri's for some time. I've never really heard great things about their formulas, but I had a Target gift card burning a hole in my wallet, so why not?! I got Blue Away and Jade Jump. I tested them out and I really like them! I'll have to get used to the awkward brush, but I'm really loving the colors! :) They were about $4.00 each.
The rest of these are just random finds. Back in the fall I bought Borghese Stellare Notte. I have mixed feeling about it. I wore it once and I just don't know if I love it. I've seen it on a bajillion blogs and it looks great. I think I need to wear it again and do a better job of application and then see how I feel. It is a pretty unique color. Ulta- Set the Nude and Sonia Kashuk- Tauped are colors my Mom picked out. They're both really pretty. Set the Nude can look really grey, so that's unique for my ever-growing collection. I bought butter London Jaffa and Zoya Gemma together on a trip to Ulta. LOVE Jaffa! It's a really great summer color. And I can see me rocking Gemma some time in the fall. I had a $3 off coupon for Ulta so I didn't have to spend a million dollars! I also had no idea Zoya's were sold at Ulta, so that was an awesome surprise. And having such easy access to butter London polishes won't be good for my bank account. ;) oh well! I love all these colors. :)

Memphis Haul

Hey ya'll. Thought I'd show you the nail polishes that I purchased in Memphis. These are all polishes I'm pretty sure you can get anywhere. haha.

I have another one from the Northfork Collection! Yay! I just need the last one. I am currently wearing this... but I'm not going to take pictures of it until I have fixed all the little chips I've gotten. Such a pretty color! And, so fun to wear!

This is my first bottle of Pure Ice. Not too exciting, but I liked the color a lot... and I really wanted to buy it. :)

And my first Hot Topic nail polish. However, I can tell I am going to have problems with it. When I tested it... I lost count of how many coats I used... and it was still SO streaky. :-/ We'll see how it works next time. It's actually more yellow than orange... if ya'll can tell from the picture.

One More Haul

Hey ya'll!

I have another haul... I've bought alot of nail products lately.

I got all of this the other day at Walgreens.

These seem to take nail polish off better than cotton balls. 
These are for the bits of nail polish that get stuck in the creases of your nails. It gets so annoying! These have a pointed end and they help alot!

This was actually a color my Mom picked up, but I'll use it, too.

This is Lavender Pearlescent... it's more pink than lavender...

I just thought this one was pretty.

And, I got this one because I've seen it on other blogs and it's pretty cool. :)

Will try to swatch these ASAP. I am going out of town for about two weeks. I'll remember my camera this time!! I probably won't have nail polish posts... but I'll do my best to keep up with ya'll's blogs!!!!! :) I leave early tomorrow.

Another Haul

My latest haul as of today. :) I found the OPI at KMART. That was a surprise. The Rock Star polish is the last of my order from Cherry Culture. And, the Maybelline polish and Nail Cleaning Sponges are from Dollar Tree.
I thought they would help clean up my nails a bit. Can't hurt to try! :) And only for a dollar... doesn't get much better than that!

I thought this color was really pretty. I don't think I have one like it.

This was all alone in KMART. I really don't even know how it got there. But, I was HAPPY to buy it! It was still the regular price of $8.50. I thought for sure it would be a little cheaper... yeah... not so much.


And... the last of the Cherry Culture haul. Can’t wait to post pics of this on my nails! :)
