Pixi: Metallic Mermaid

Hey y'all! I didn't do anything really special with my nails for my birthday, in fact I still have the nail strips on. They just keep holding on! I'm very impressed with them, and I picked up some new ones yesterday. But anyway, I wanted to share another Pixi polish I have that I found on clearance at Target. Take a look at Metallic Mermaid!

I totally messed up my middle finger. When I applied the topcoat, it did something weird on only that finger. Really weird. But I absolutely love this shade of blue. I realize there are definitely visible brushstrokes. I'm not usually a fan of that, I usually hate it. But for whatever reason, it doesn't bother me with this shade. I just love how sparkly this is in the sun, and I love it with my skin tone. It just works. What do y'all think? Have you tried Pixi polishes? What do y'all think of them? Let me know!

Okay, on a completely unrelated note... I am FREAKING out! Today is my first day at the University of Memphis. I'm so scared. I'm transferring from a little community college to a university and I couldn't be more nervous! I'm excited because it's something new, and much better, but I'm nervous beyond words. On top of that, I have a night class. And that's tonight. It's only once a week, but I'm freaking out about that too. Y'all leave me your stories of college and make me feel better. I'm so scared!!! Ahhh! Wish me luck!

Thank y'all for reading. :)

Pixi: Coral Cabana

Hey y'all! I realize I haven't posted since I showed y'all the nail strips, but I'm still wearing them! They've held on for so long, and I have gotten so many compliments on them! Even guys have noticed them, which I think is so funny! But yeah! Tomorrow is my birthday, though, and I'm considering changing them out for something else. I'll see what I come up with later on tonight. So anyway, I never showed y'all Coral Cabana. So that's what y'all get to look at today. Take a look!

This is such a pretty coral/pink! I love it! I've been pretty impressed with Pixi polishes, too. The formula is pretty good, and I really like the bottle shape. This needed three coats for complete opacity. I have lots of shades similar to this, but this definitely ranks up there among my favorites. A keeper, for sure. You can find Pixi polishes at Target and I think they're about $8. Or if you're lucky like me, you might find a bottle in the clearance section. ;)

What do y'all think of Coral Cabana? Have you tried Pixi polishes? If so, what did you think of them? How should I do my nails for my birthday? Or should I see how long the strips last?

Thank y'all for reading! :)

Target Clearance Haul

Hey y'all! I'm doing a haul post today! I haven't done one of these in so long! That's actually a good thing because it means I haven't been buying a bunch of stuff. But! I have found some stuff recently that really rocks. So I want to share that with y'all. I'd like to start by saying, please, please, PLEASE check the clearance section at your nearest Target! That's where I've found this cool stuff for killer prices! The clearance section (in the beauty section of Target) is usually on some end-cap towards the end of the beauty stuff. Or at least that's where they are here. Y'all just might find some pretty awesome stuff. Look at what I've found!
I got those Nail Strips for $2.55! Y'all! They're regularly $8.50. Ridonk, right!?! I was so happy to find those because I have been wanting to try them. But I can't bring myself to pay over $8 for them. Maybe if I have good luck with these I'll try them again. I found that coppery polish for 90 cents! It's made by Cos Bar, I think? That's what the bottle says, but I'm not familiar with the brand. It also doesn't have a name. I hate that, but I can't pass up a 90 cent polish. That last polish is a Pixi polish! Yes! It's called Metallic Mermaid and it was $2.40. I have to thank my Mama for the polish strips and Pixi polish. She actually bought those for me. Thank you Mama! :)

So I really have to urge y'all to check out the clearance section at your Target. I have a few Target stores in the area that I go to pretty frequently, so I have multiple opportunities to find awesome stuff. Have y'all found anything in clearance areas that you couldn't pass up? Have you checked out Target's clearance stuff?

I'm having a weird night, y'all. My camera made me really mad because it would NOT get a decent picture of this stuff. I gave up. That's why the picture is so horrible. And then my computer just randomly shut down as I was in the middle of typing this post. It shut down with no warning. Usually it lets me know when it is running on "reserve power" but this time it never did. Not lovin that, little macbook- get yo act togetha! Anyway! I have another full day of work tomorrow and Saturday. I'm hoping to try out these nail strips sometime between now and Sunday. I'm really excited to share it with y'all.

Thank y'all so much for reading! :)

Pixi: Real Rose & Essie: A Cut Above

Hey y'all! Long time no talk AGAIN! Crazy, right?! Y'all, I can't even begin to explain all that I have going on, and how little time I have to blog. And I know y'all don't wanna hear it anymore than I wanna type it all out. So I'm just going to get right to talking about what's currently on my nails! For Easter, my mom gave me two bottles of Pixi polish! I had just noticed back in February that Pixi had come out with a polish line (found at Target!). I really liked the colors they came out with, although some are not anything special. I don't really know how much these polishes cost, since I didn't buy these myself. But I do really like them! I especially like this shade because it seems like that perfect summer pink. And it lasts a pretty long time on my nails! And it's nicely pigmented! And it has a great formula! And I only needed two coats! So yeah. I like it. A lot. I wanted to bling it out a little, and I really like the Essie glitters, specifically the pink one, A Cut Above! So that's what I came up with, and I'm actually still rocking this manicure. :)
So what do y'all think? Have any of y'all tried Pixi polishes yet? I'd really like some feedback on the brand! And feedback on the manicure. :)
I'm planning another post in the next few days or so. I have some pictures on my phone of what I've been up to and so I thought it would be cool to just compile them on here. That way y'all can kind of see what I've been doing. And if y'all aren't interested, that's fine. This is my public, internet diary and I want to write about what's been going on. :)
I hope y'all are all doing great! I really have missed talking and interacting with all my followers. And, of course, I can't thank y'all enough for sticking with me and still following. Although, I'm pretty sure not everyone is checking my blog too often. ;) I promise to make more of an effort at blogging, taking pictures of my manicures and just altogether keeping in touch. And if any of y'all are interested, I am on Twitter and I always welcome new followers there. Thank y'all for reading! I hope everyone has a great tomorrow! :)
